Inspired by the book by German illustrator and writer Wolf Erlbruch, the play tells the story of a duck who discovers that death has been following him since birth. Despite the initial fright, he soon realizes that death actually has a friendly smile, and the two end up getting closer, talking about many subjects, such as what happens when ducks die. The unusual friendship between the two allows death to enjoy life a bit more and rethink her work.
